Hi Everyone.

Well The Quaynotes have  been quite busy playing a couple of private gigs over the last couple of weeks. We are now looking forward to our December program:

Llandudno Swing Band at The Hydro Hotel, Llandudno. Sunday December 8th, 8.30pm.

If you are at a loose end on Sunday 8th December we will be playing in the Llandudno Swing Band for a free concert in The Ballroom at The Hydro Hotel. The performance will be part of the hotel’s entertainment program for their residents. The management at The Hydro have told us that they are very happy for non-residents to swell the numbers. We will be playing 1 extended set from 8.30pm to 10pm.

Its a while since we have played in the big band so we are looking forward to it. There will be lots of classic big band tunes and a few alternative options so get ready for a bit of Glen Miller, Artie Shaw and lots of other songs you should recognise.

Dylan’s Llandudno Tea Dance. Thursday  12th December, 2pm.

We are playing a Festive Tea Dance at Dylan’s on Thursday 12th. These are always lively events popular with dancers and diners. Our program will be mostly dance music covering all the usual ballroom favourites. We are working on a new waltz from the Bacharach and David catalogue and a Tom Wait’s Tango as I write this newsletter.

LPPG Underground at Tiffany’s. 13th December, 7.30pm.
Tickets are selling quite well for our:

“Lucky” (its on Friday the 13th December),
“Post Election” (enough said),
“Pre-Christmas” (There will be carols sung),
“Gig.”

“The LPPG”.

Firstly great news that tickets for our LPPG will be available over the counter at Tiffany’s. For those of you who are not keen on buying things online, this is now an option for ensuring you get a seat for the gig.

The Restaurant at Tiffany’s will be open before the gig so come and have some tea/dinner/supper and then pop down stairs for some of our cooler jazz tunes and probably another 80’s classic tune (almost certainly with a great sax solo) curated by Clive.

The more we play at Tiffany’s the bigger our repertoire of 80’s tunes becomes. We may even play them all in one set!

Tickets are still available online here

Thats it for now,
Paul.
